Dave Rice, President
Dave is a Member of Congressman Mike Levin’s Special Task Force on Nuclear Waste at the San Onofre Nuclear Plant. He also is a Vice President of the Humanist Association, OC, and at the same time, he is a Commissioner of the West Coast Adult Soccer League (800 members)
Dave has a 35-year career in the technology industry (strategy, marketing, sales, growth) for organizations, including IBM, Comdisco, and GOALS Unlimited (Growing Organizations and Leveraging Sales) Continuous volunteer in community organizations (youth sports, Kiwanis Club, homeowners’ associations, etc.)
His primary goals are promoting humanism, solving social problems, and making a difference.
Rhett Kuseski, Vice President
Rhett Kuseski’s humanist values found a perfect fit within UNA for making the world a better place. Here he can apply both his compassion for humanity and his tech skills to benefit the group. He is the President of the Humanist Association of Orange County and regularly leads Meetup discussions on philosophy, theology, and social justice issues. He is also the Vice President of Americans United for Separation of Church & State Orange County. He has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Biblical Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Professionally, he is a computer IT Systems Administrator, part-time freelance User Experience (UX) Design Consultant, and runs a UX Design Meetup. He enjoys traveling and going on cruises (pre-COVID) with his wife who is a former teacher of children with special needs and enjoys fostering rescue animals. He is a geek for sci-fi, fantasy, and Lego.
Shelby Anderson, Secretary
Lead on Model UN program
Shelby Anderson is a young professional teaching 11th grade U.S. History and 9th grade Global Studies at Laguna Beach High School. She is passionate about educating her students about human rights, the SDG's, and bringing history to life through Living History/Reenactment. She completed her undergraduate degrees, Social Policy & Public Service and Education Sciences, as well as her Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of California, Irvine.

Rima is a global citizen with a global network of friends and family. Her favorite Sustainable Development Goal is “Gender Equality”- #5 Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. She is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls, locally and worldwide, by advocating for their safety through raising awareness and empowerment.
Rima Nashashibi is a recipient of numerous awards. Most recently Rima was nominated as a woman that makes difference and received 2021 Legacy Award from the Women’s Journey Foundation. Before that, she was nominated by one of Orange County Business Journal's top businesswomen in Orange County Oct. 2020, and selected to receive a Congressional Woman of the Year Award in Mar. 2020. The Community Activism Appreciation Award, Women For OC: Aug. 2019; Appreciation Award “Co-Chair of the International Development Committee, Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce“ 2018-2019, July 2019; Appreciation of her Service and Leadership in the field of Refugee Support”

Crystal Martinez, co-Chair of Advocacy

Crystal Martinez is a global citizen and an innovative thinker passionate about facilitating communities to be better served by government, institutions, and policies. She aspires to work globally for the United Nations. Crystal is a human rights champion and advocate. She serves as a board member of the Fullerton Human Trafficking Partnership. Crystal Martinez is a former UNA-USA Campus Chapter President at CSUF where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with an International Politics minor. Some of her hobbies are practicing yoga, volunteering at local homeless shelters, hiking, and going to the beach.
